About Us
Katy Piotrowski, M.Ed. is a career counselor, founder of Career Solutions Group (formerly JobWorks founded in 1998), and author of "The Career Coward's Guide to Interviewing" and the Fort Collins Coloradoan career advice column, “On the Job” since 1994. As a career counselor, Katy has helped thousands of individuals achieve their career goals through a variety of career counseling and support activities. Additionally, Katy has worked with organizations such as Agilent Technologies, Hewlett Packard, Poudre Valley Health Services, Banner Health Systems, and others, on employee career development and transition projects.
Katy’s training includes a Masters degree in Career Development and Counseling from Colorado State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from the University of Tennessee. She is a member of the Northern Colorado Human Resources Association, the National Career Development Association, and has received training from “What Color is Your Parachute” author, Richard Bolles. Katy received “Business Associate of the Year” recognition from the American Business Women’s Association”, and was recognized nationally as a “Top-10 Career Counselor of the Year” for effectiveness in helping her clients achieve their career objectives. Katy also teaches graduate-level courses in career counseling at Colorado State University.
