Career Counseling Support: Career counselor Katy Piotrowski, M.Ed., will guide you through a range of effective career support activities. She’ll work with you step-by-step, based on your specific situation, regularly monitor your progress, and help you improve your results. Typically, services are delivered over 6- to 12-months—the timeframe shown to lead to the best results for career changing and job searching. Resume and interview preparation services can be purchased individually.

Career Direction: Looking to identify exciting new career possibilities that suit your unique strengths, interests, and career goals? Career counselor Katy Piotrowski, M.Ed. will lead you through career assessments and exercises to identify promising career directions. Katy uses standardized career assessments as well as non-traditional exercises learned from her training with internationally-known author of “What Color is Your Parachute”, Richard Bolles.
Career Decision Making: Want to take the guesswork out of making a career choice? The exploration and decision-making exercises Katy will guide you through have resulted in successful career choices for thousands of people. For instance, Katy will connect you with people working in the areas you're considering, to help you gather information and make better choices. This is a fun, empowering part of the career development process that you can use to make solid career decisions now, as well as for career progress in the future.

Resume and Cover Letter Development
Ready for a resume that delivers excellent results? The JobWorks resume service includes a...
- Consultation with Katy to gather the information for your documents (telephone or in person)
- Writing of a customized resume and cover letter in electronic and hardcopy formats
- CD audio tool teaching you how to interview more effectively based on the interviews you receive using your new resume.
Typically, resumes can be turned around within a few days of the initial information gathering session.

Interview Preparation & Coaching: Learn how to convert more interviews to job offers by improving your interviewing skills. Katy will lead you through a step-by-step interview preparation process to increase your interviewing confidence. You'll learn how to respond effectively to traditional and behavioral questions, how to conduct yourself professionally, how to handle tough situations, and what to ask the interviewer. For in-person coaching sessions, a videotaped mock interview session and written critique are included.
JobWorks Interview Preparation Service includes:
- A preparation package including a 60-minute CD to guide you step-by-step through some pre-interview exercises, and worksheets outlining frequently asked questions and effective interviewing techniques.
- A one-hour session with career counselor Katy Piotrowski, M.Ed., during which time you’ll troubleshoot any interviewing issues, conduct a videotaped mock interview, and receive verbal and written feedback on your interviewing effectiveness.
